Cutting speed also plays an important role in plasma cutting.

When the cutting speed is too high, the jet in the kerf can not blow the melted metal away quickly. There will be slag under the Kerf. At the same time, cutting 

quality will decline. This kind of slag is easy to remove. 

When the cutting speed is too low, the widness of kerf will be bigger. Top edge of the kerf will be round. Because plasma arc generate large quantity of heat there. 

Slag gathers and solidifies at the bottom of the plate, so it will be difficult to remove.
